Because I am the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident starting in the 1970s, I have been asked to discuss that important event, the establishment of the highly classified Operation Majestic 12, a few months later, and also Wilbert Smith, a Canadian Broadcast engineer and in charge of Official Canadian UFO investigations in the 1950s

  1. The evidence is overwhelming that Earth is being visited by intelligently controlled ET spacecraft; SOME UFOs are indeed alien spacecraft.
  2. The subject of Flying Saucers represents a Cosmic Watergate .i.e. Some few people in governments know and keep hidden the important information.
  3. There are no good arguments against these conclusions, only persons who haven’t examined the relevant evidence. I have spent a great deal of time at 20 archives.
  4. Visitations by aliens and recovery of crashed saucers, and the massive coverup, together make up the biggest story of the millennium.

The Roswell Incident happened in early July, 1947, when military personnel of the 509th Composite Bomb group recovered the wreckage of a crashed flying saucer and alien bodies, less than 100 miles from the Roswell Army Air Field in New Mexico. It was home of the most elite military group in the world having dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, in August, 1945, and 2 more at Operation Crossroads in the Pacific in 1946. All the personnel had high level security clearances. The first flying saucer sighting to get much attention was that of civilian pilot Kenneth Arnold near Mt. Rainier ,Washington , on June 24, 1947, just 2wks earlier. Hundreds more were observed across the USA in the intervening 2 weeks.

I was referred to former Major Jesse A. Marcel by the manager of a TV station in Baton Rouge, LA in 1978 who suggested I should talk to him while we were waiting for a third reporter who was late and was supposed to interview me to promote my lecture that evening at Louisiana State University. He shocked me by saying that Jesse had handled wreckage of one of those saucers I was interested in when he was in the military and that he lived in Houma, LA. He and Jesse were ham radio buddies and he had seen the original article about the crash retrieval in the New Orleans Times Picayune..The next day I was at the airport early, and got Jesse’s number from information. I called him and got his story. A colleague and I over the next 18 months, and with considerable effort, located 60 former servicemen from the 509th.I also located retired General Thomas Jefferson DuBose who had been adjutant to General Roger Ramey Head of the 8th Air Force in Ft. Worth . Marcel’s commanding officer, Colonel William Blanchard, reported directly to Ramey. He was promoted 4 times and was a 4 star general and Vice Chief of Staff of the US Air Force when he died of a heart attack in the Pentagon. DuBose told me he took the call from Ramey’s boss General McMuller telling him to get the Press off his back, Send the wreckage to him in Washington ,D.C. and never talk about it again. Only one of the 27 first hand witnesses to Roswell whose testimony is in the DVD Recollections of Roswell’ is still alive.

A Top Secret roll of film was received in December 1984 with a 1952 briefing from CIA director Rear Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter for President Elect Dwight Eisenhower and a 1947 memo from President Truman to Secretary of Defense James Forrestal authorizing the establishment of a highly classified group named Operation Majestic 12 to deal with flying saucers. It was to be accountable only to the President The first 13 member of MJ-12 were noted. The real shocker is that one was Dr. Donald Menzel, Harvard Astronomer and total UFO debunker. I was able to show that he had a longer continuous association with the NSA than anybody else. Many phony documents were received, The attacks were plentiful and irrational. As I have detailed in my book TOP SECRET MAJIC, I have been able to show that none of the attacks held up.Typical were debunker Philip Klass’s claim that one of the documents was phony because it was typed in large PICA type .He claimed the NSC only used elite type and provided 9 examples. He challenged me to provide any genuine PICA documents from the NSC and offered me $100 each for every genuine such document I could provide up to a maximum of 10. I provided 14 . He paid me $1000, but there is no Friedman file in his papers at the American Philosophical Society Library though we corresponded for 20 years. Turns out he had never been to the Eisenhower Library which has 250,000 pages of NSC documents. Many are in Pica type.

A very important1952 document for evaluating Canadian UFO investigations was written by broadcast Engineer Wilbert Smith”

1.The matter is the most highly classified subject in the United States Government, rating higher than even the H-bomb.

2) Flying saucers exist.

3) Their modus operandi is unknown, but concentrated effort is being made by a small group headed by Vannevar Bush.

4) The entire matter is considered by the United States authorities to be of tremendous significance.

5) The United States authorities are investigating along quite a number of lines, which might possibly be related to the saucers such as mental phenomena.

I met with American Scientist Dr.Robert Sarbacher who had provided Smith with much detailed information as well as with General DuBose and family members of the MJ-12 Members.

A very important 1969 Memo was found in Air Force Files from USAF General Carroll Bolender. an engineer on the LEM program who had been asked what should be done about USAF Project Blue Book, ostensibly the only group concerned with UFOs. Bolender’s memo resulted in the closure of Blue Book and the statement that reports of UFOs which could effect National Security were not part of the Blue Book study and would continue to be investigated after BB was closed. I am convinced they went to Operation Majestic -12 .I spoke with General Bolender and was very impressed.
